The Purpose of the Free System-Sistema Libre Project is to co-create art with a diverse group of people, allowing each individual to share their own voice and to be seen, showing that we are intrinsically connected and are worthy of living within healthy, just, loving, integrated systems. These systems would support processes of decolonization through art, mindfulness practices and connection to the land, ancestors and cosmos. We aim to inspire local and global audiences to connect with and empower one another, looking toward ourselves for deeper change.

I’m Heidi J and welcome to the Free System-Sistema Libre Multimedia Art Project! There are many wonderful collaborators involved in this project! In each collaboration, we share power, listen to each others’ different perspectives, respect boundaries and grow our authentic selves together. The creation of this project arose from an internal calling toward liberation, evolution, transformation and understanding.

This is an ongoing process!

Below y’all will find several short videos exploring topics such as the monetary system, capitalism, gender and belonging. These films accessible and relatable. The memoir “Gate to the Wormhole” tells a personal story of metabolizing (processing unconscious material through the body) intergenerational trauma—an important aspect of this project.
